Job summary

Tradesmen International is hiring experienced Industrial Painters for projects around Liberty, NC. This is a first shift opportunity with pay up to $24/hour based on experience and skill.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years automotive/industrial painting experience.
• Experience with pressure pots, cup guns, and paint kitchen equipment.
• Ability to read factory orders, blueprints, schematics, and work tickets.
• Ability to read a tape measure to at least 1/16".
• Strong math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Must be medically certified to wear a respirator.
• Able to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, medium- to heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working around paint fumes, catalyst fumes, and cleaning chemicals.
• Able to work inside a paint booth.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Clean, prepare, prime, and paint metal trailers and trailer components.
• Apply coatings to meet company quality and production standards.
• Perform trailer preparation prior to painting.
• Use pressure pots, cup guns, and paint kitchen equipment.
• Touch up paint on finished trailers as needed.
• Read and interpret factory orders, blueprints, schematics, and work tickets.
• Utilize hand, air, and pneumatic tools to perform duties.
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and pallet jacks as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and quality standards.

This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $24/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Clean, prepare, prime, and paint metal trailers and trailer components
• Apply coatings to meet company quality and production standards
• Perform trailer preparation prior to painting
• Use pressure pots, cup guns, and paint kitchen equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment painting experience, or a certified trade school/technical degree in a paint-related field
• Experience with pressure pots, cup guns, and paint kitchen equipment
• Ability to read and interpret factory orders, blueprints, schematics, and work tickets
• Ability to read a tape measure to at least 1/16"
• Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Must be medically certified to wear a respirator
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, medium- to heavy-duty manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working around paint fumes, catalyst fumes, and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to work inside a paint booth
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, climbing, walking, and standing for up to 10-hour shifts
• Ability to work at multiple heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and trailers as needed
• Ability to push, pull, and operate vibrating equipment
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of automotive or heavy equipment paint experience
• Knowledge of paint properties and paint systems
• Forklift and overhead crane experience
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Military service experience
