Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced industrial painter to coat walls, equipment, and structures, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. The role involves surface preparation, scaffolding setup, and color matching to meet project specs.

You will read work orders, mix coatings, and apply primers and finishes while following safety rules and using protective gear. Prior experience with rust/old paint removal and access equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with painting surfaces and coatings.
• Ability to read work orders and prepare materials.
• Follows safety rules and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cover surfaces with drop cloths to protect areas.
• Selects and mixes coating additives to thin or promote drying.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with fillers.
• Use sandblasting equipment and other tools to remove old paint.
• Apply primers or sealers to surfaces before finish coats.
• Apply paint and finishes to structures using brushes/rollers/spray.
