Manufacturing Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician – Dayton, Texas

Are you a detailed individual who wants to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? This position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Position Snapshot

A Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician should be knowledgeable and capable of performing essential duties satisfactorily. The role requires:

  • Deep knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical (up to 480V), electronic, and control systems.
  • Conducting equipment inspections for proper operation and integrity.
  • Understanding electrical safety guidelines and practices such as Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash safety.
  • Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools like volt/ohm meters.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits, relays, contactors, motors, starters, drives, PLCs, and HMI programs.
  • Performing lubrication and maintenance during normal operations and scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Replacing bearings, adjusting belts, pulleys, and drive components.
  • Reading blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and installation drawings.
  • Removing and installing motors, soldering components, and identifying electrical components.
  • Troubleshooting components related to pumps, drives, hydraulic systems, and vibrations.
  • Creating and modifying work orders in the MAXIMO CMMS system.
  • Adhering to safety policies and PPE usage.
  • Performing other mechanical/electrical duties as assigned.
Requirements and Education
  • Technical training (high school plus 1-2 years of apprenticeship or trades training).
  • Basic shop mathematics, reading drawings, specifications, charts, PLC programs, and using precision measuring instruments.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of electrical experience.
  • 5-7 years of multi-craft experience in a manufacturing environment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
