Position Summary:

This position performs electrical, instrumentation, controls, process, and production maintenance throughout the facility. Responsibilities include equipment breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, preventative/precision maintenance programs, and continuous improvement activities such as increasing machine reliability and installing facility capital investments. The candidate will perform specified electrical work in accordance with code regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Respond efficiently and effectively to urgent production needs related to equipment.
• Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial IE&C work across the facility.
• Utilize CMMS for maintenance support, including review, execution, and documentation of work.
• Understand NEC code to a journeyman level and demonstrate compliance.
• Proficient in conduit installation, wiring layout, and repairing electrical systems.
• Build and modify control panels professionally.
• Understand mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints, including electronics diagrams, and suggest engineering changes.
• Maintain, test, evaluate, and repair electrical components, including medium voltage automation systems and motor control circuits.
• Knowledge of power distribution, MMCs, control panels, switches, and fuses.
• Hardware troubleshooting with PLCs, automation software, and touchscreens.
• Online troubleshooting with PLCs and HMIs.
• Troubleshoot, replace, and program VFDs and HIM modules.
• Use appropriate tools to diagnose electrical, electronics, and instrumentation issues.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills for rotating equipment, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of utilities equipment and electrical requirements.
• Use of precision measurement tools.
• Understanding of security and alarm systems.
• Follow ARC flash/blast safety protocols and PPE policies.
• Participate in root cause failure analysis.
• Communicate effectively and train others as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies, GMP, and food safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in industrial operations, maintenance, utilities, or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills and basic math skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Training in OSHA 30 Hour, HAZMAT, Arc Flash, LOTO, electrical systems, and fall protection.
• Training in NEC code, instrumentation, and controls.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 to $37.00 per hour.
