Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an experienced fabrication shop assignment in the Design Office at the Auburn Hills headquarters. Work with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to develop interior and exterior bucks/armatures from CAD data on a surface plate with precise x/y/z alignment.

Responsibilities include structural carpentry, prepping models for show-quality paints, adapting parts to prototypes, and applying finishes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years using shop/mill room stationary machinery.
• Prior welding experience (steel and aluminum).
• Ability to work with hand tools (various saws, grinders).
• Strong skills in automotive surfacing and paint application.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a creative environment.
• Willingness to be mentored and to mentor others.
• Overtime availability.
• Work from prints/CAD models with precision.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior and exterior bucks/armatures per CAD data.
• Work on a surface plate with understanding of x, y, z grid system.
• Execute structural carpentry and prep/surface hard models for show finishes.
• Adapt aftermarket and prototype parts to existing vehicles.
• Apply paints and other show finishes with quality craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams.
