Job summary

Vulcan Metals Specialty Products Inc. is seeking an experienced Millwright to join our maintenance team at a heavy industrial facility.

The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment used in casting, rolling mill, and metal finishing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and rotating equipment, and must read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance or millwright experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to diagnose problems.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Rigging and moving heavy equipment safely.
• Must work independently in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and systems.
• Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication-related problems.
• Install, align, and replace pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and rolls.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Perform precision alignment using measuring tools.
• Work with electricians and operators to resolve issues.
• Maintain safety and document repairs.
