Job summary

Central Arizona Project seeks a highly-skilled Pumping Plant Millwright Mechanic to provide journeyman-level technical expertise for large pumping plants and related facilities across Arizona. The role requires maintaining operational availability, performing overhauls and preventive maintenance, and collaborating with diverse teams.

Qualified candidates will have a Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent, plus at least three years of journeyman experience in industrial mechanics, a valid

Qualifications

Having completed a state or federal certified Mechanical Apprenticeship, or equivalent education/experience.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and a high school diploma or GED are required.
Crane and welding experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain four facilities reliably and safely as part of pump plants operations.
Perform overhauls, installations, troubleshooting, and predictive and preventative maintenance.
Support plant operations and coordinate with other trades, engineering, and project teams.
Respond to on-call emergencies as required and work across CAP sites in AZ.
