Job summary

ADM’s flagship Corn Plant in Decatur, IL is hiring a Maintenance/Millwright to support preventive and failure-based maintenance. This role installs and maintains rotating process equipment such as pumps, conveyors, and dryers, and collaborates with computerised maintenance systems to achieve plant reliability.

The position requires a strong mechanical background with 3–5 years of hands-on experience, and offers on-going training, shift flexibility, and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on maintenance/millwright experience
• Technical school training as mechanic or equivalent highly desired
• Willing to take trade courses during training period
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with notice
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to understand and communicate in English
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain rotating process equipment (pumps, conveyors, dryers) in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Interface with preventative and predictive maintenance, inventory management and work orders systems
• Read, understand and follow verbal and written instructions and SOPs
• Handle instrumentation and electrical tasks, chillers and pump rebuilds
