Job summary
Gilchrist Forest Products is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Gilchrist, Oregon. This role installs, maintains, and repairs machinery in an industrial setting, reading schematics and collaborating with maintenance and operations to maximize machine performance.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in industrial maintenance, a Journeyman or welding certification is a plus, and a firm commitment to safety.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years in industrial maintenance.
- Journeyman or welding certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Commitment to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, align, and maintain machinery per specifications for high-speed operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to improve performance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the mill.
