Job summary

Austin Industrial Decatur, IL is seeking a Millwright Boilermaker Apprentice to install, repair and dismantle heavy equipment in industrial settings. Responsibilities include alignment, assembly, disassembly, lubrication and test runs with proper tooling and blueprints.

The role requires strong mechanical skills and hands-on ability to work within a team on-site at Decatur, IL. This position offers full-time hours and benefits typical for a large ESOP company.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Experience with aligning and assembling heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts and align moving parts on machinery.
• Assemble, install and test equipment using hand and power tools.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, micrometers and blueprints.
• Dismantle, repair and lubricate equipment as needed.
• Move machinery on site and prepare foundations.
