Job summary

Kronospan, located in La Grande, Oregon, seeks a Millwright to install, repair and maintain equipment. You will perform preventive/predictive maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions to keep operations running smoothly, with overtime and shift coverage as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years in heavy manufacturing maintenance, including hydraulic/pneumatic experience, and the ability to read schematics. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated energy, work ethic and problem solving.
• Ability to use power tools, measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience in advanced preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Not required: IMM certification; Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Millwright performs a diversified list of duties including installation, repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements on all equipment and systems. The Millwright must rely on their knowledge of mechanical principles in order to troubleshoot malfunctions to equipment and systems and to repair and restore operation. This position requires overtime and fill-in for shift openings as needed. This position is located in La Grande, Oregon.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate
• Minimum 3 years' documented experience with heavy manufacturing processes and associated maintenance and repair procedures.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic processes and principles.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to complex problem solving.
• The ability to use power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools.
• The ability to read and comprehend complex data including mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience in performing advanced preventive maintenance procedures.
• The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
