Qualifications

• 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, construction preferred.
• Experience managing purchase orders and vendor relationships.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook; ERP experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; a related degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of raw materials, components, hardware, shop supplies.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes on price, quality, lead time.
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders through delivery.
• Communicate with vendors on pricing, status, and delivery.
• Monitor open orders and resolve delays or shortages.
• Coordinate with estimating, project management, fabrication, and accounting.
• Maintain vendor, pricing, and material records.
• Identify alternative suppliers to address cost or scheduling concerns.
• Monitor material pricing and report significant changes.
• Resolve PO and invoice discrepancies with Accounting.
• Assist with pricing negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency.
