Qualifications

• Knowledge of paints, thinners, cleaning agents, and other materials utilized in the cleaning, painting, and finishing of parts related equipment.
• Methods of preparing surfaces for painting, including bare and previously painted surfaces.
• Ability to operate painting equipment and related tools with minimal supervision.
• Ability to log daily work and maintain routine records.

Responsibilities

• Paint sheet metal and heavy steel frames or similar metal surfaces with a spray gun in an oversized ventilated spray booth.
• Follow safety practices and corporate environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and mix/prepare paint and coating systems.
• Maintain equipment and log work performed using a computer or tablet.
