Job summary

Johns Manville in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Entry-Level Utility Worker to support metal manufacturing operations with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and efficiency.

No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and the ability to read blueprints are expected. You will operate forklifts, assist with crane tasks, handle materials, inspect quality, and follow SOPs and JSA sign-offs.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (email, safety skills, Workday).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety and PPE: use task-specific PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Equipment operation and maintenance: operate forklifts, inspect cranes, grooving and cutting tasks.
• Material handling and management: identify, label, inventory, and cycle counts.
• Quality and production: read blueprints, ensure quality, use SAP for confirmations and material lookup.
• Technical skills: use measuring tools and basic shop math; operate email, Workday, SharePoint.
• General duties: maintain housekeeping and follow SOPs.
