Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead industrial mechanical projects from award to completion. You will manage planning, scheduling, procurement, and field coordination, acting as the primary customer contact and ensuring projects meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.

You will collaborate with estimating, coordinators, field crews, vendors, and leadership to deliver maintenance, outage, shutdown, capital improvement, and industrial construction projects with high quality

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience managing industrial mechanical construction, maintenance, outage, or shutdown projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and mechanical plans.
• Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems including piping, rigging and equipment installation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans from award through completion.
• Break projects into detailed daily and weekly work plans to support field execution.
• Create manpower plans, schedules, and resource requirements for each project.
• Monitor progress and address schedule impacts and constraints.
• Coordinate turnover with estimating to ensure scope and budgets are understood.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout execution.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional project management.
• Conduct project meetings and provide schedule updates and progress reports.
• Coordinate outages, shutdowns, startup activities, and logistics.
• Obtain material quotations and evaluate pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Select vendors based on project requirements, quality, cost, and schedule.
