Job summary

Omya Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at our Arizona production facility to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant processing equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, gearboxes, and packaging lines, while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and supply chain teams.

Ideal candidates have post-secondary training in mechanical maintenance and 5+ years in heavy industrial environments, with strong reading of schematics and practical

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment across the plant (conveyors, gearboxes, centrifuges, etc.).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Support pneumatic systems, packaging equipment, and bulk material handling.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals to assemble/disassemble equipment.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas and assist contractors as needed.
