International Paper in Mansfield, LA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Associate to assist journeyman mechanics with routine maintenance and various independent tasks. The role involves replacing valves, basic welding, pump and valve work, and repairing rotating assemblies on heavy equipment.

This on-site, full-time position offers day or rotating shifts with hourly pay rates of $30.72–$31.93, and opportunities for growth within IP's maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Eligible for employment in the US.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to function in a team environment.
• One year experience in MILLWRIGHT, MACHINIST, LUBRICATION, WELDING, OR PIPEFITTING OR one year vocational/technical education in Mechanical Discipline.

Responsabilités

• Assist journeyman-level mechanics in routine maintenance work.
• Replace valves and gaskets, perform basic welding, repack pumps and valves.
• Operate forklift and troubleshoot/repair heavy equipment.
• Repair rotating assemblies, pumps, valves, motors and mechanical drive systems.
