Job summary

GEM Plumbing & Heating Services, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Insulator to apply insulation to HVAC and plumbing piping, ductwork, and equipment on commercial and industrial projects. You will read drawings, follow specs, and ensure work meets safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years of insulation experience, ability to work with a team, and a valid driver's license. You will coordinate with foremen and project teams and perform quality checks daily.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical insulation experience preferred.
• Experience applying insulation to HVAC piping, plumbing piping, ductwork, and mechanical equipment on commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and insulation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical insulation to HVAC piping, plumbing piping, ductwork, and equipment.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure insulation materials per specs.
• Apply vapor barriers, protective jacketing, and finishing materials.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and insulation schedules.
• Coordinate with foreman and project team to support schedules.
• Follow safety policies and maintain clean work area.
