USG is a leading manufacturer of building products with a Cloquet, MN plant and a long history of serving North American markets. The Industrial Mechanic role focuses on safe, reliable operation of motors, conveyors and production equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Qualified candidates will perform inspections, calibrations and repairs, and may participate in plant safety initiatives and training.

Qualifications

Industrial mechanic experience or Millwright training required.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics.
Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, conveyors and production machines.
Identify and locate mechanical problems using visual inspection and precision instruments.
Disassemble and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes and hand/power tools.
Measure and verify component dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Adjust components to specification and document maintenance actions.
Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
