Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a Mechanic to repair and maintain heavy equipment across our processing facilities. You will diagnose faults, repair and reassemble machinery, read manuals and blueprints, and verify performance after service, all while following strict Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, plus 5 years assisting skilled trades in heavy equipment repair; an Associate degree in Heavy Duty Truck or Heavy Equipment Repair with 2

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED Certification preferred.
  • 5 years of experience assisting skilled trades persons in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Associates degree in Heavy Duty Truck or Heavy Equipment Repair with 2 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Radius Recycling participates in E-Verify for all U.S. new hires.
  • Arbitration Agreement and Equal Opportunity Employer statement.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
  • Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using engine diagnostic equipment and calibration devices.
  • Provide assistance throughout the yard as needed.
  • Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
