Job summary

Suzano is seeking a General Mechanic for our Pine Bluff, AR facility to perform routine to predictive maintenance on mechanical systems. The role requires 12-hour shifts and physically demanding work in an industrial setting.

Training in mechanical maintenance, reading schematics, and OSHA safety is essential. Starting pay is $35.20 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and flexible spending accounts.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of experience as General Mechanic in an industrial environment.
• A two year degree or higher in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance or one year experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance.
• Three years or more experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance (Millwright, Pipe Fitter, Welder, Machinist).
• Meets the physical and safety requirements of the job while working 12-hour shifts, including holidays, overtime, and weekends.
• Experience reading blueprints, Sketches and schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical hazards/safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing pumps, gearboxes, power & transmission systems, conveyors, etc.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the plant.
• Perform emergency maintenance on failed equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment & systems.
• Apply codes, regulations, safety, and OEM standards.
• Improve operations productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning.
• Support daily activities, shutdowns, long-term planning and capital projects.
• Support reliability initiatives such as lubrication, vibration and ultrasound predictive systems.
• Perform precision maintenance and repairs: cutting, welding, alignment, rigging, bearing and belt work.
• Complete precision paperwork.
