Job summary

Suzano Packaging LLC in Arkansas is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on plant equipment. You will troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and support reliability initiatives, including lubrication, vibration, and ultrasound systems.

The role requires reviewing blueprints and coordinating with safety standards. This is a 12-hour shift position.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of experience as General Mechanic in an industrial environment.
• Two-year degree or higher in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance.
• Experience reading blueprints, sketches, and schematics.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and mechanical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the plant.
• Perform emergency maintenance on failed equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment & systems.
• Apply all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, safety, environmental, and OEM standards.
• Improve operations productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning.
• Support daily activities, shutdowns, long-term planning and capital projects.
• Support reliability initiatives such as lubrication, vibration and ultrasound predictive systems.
• Perform precision maintenance and repairs such as cutting and welding of various materials, laser alignment, rigging, bearing installation/removal, coupling installation/removal, belt and chain maintenance.
