Description

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine maintenance according to a daily schedule in and around the laundry facility.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Maintains all plant equipment, including high-volume industrial washers and dryers. Repairs and replaces equipment as necessary.
• Performs basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
• Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues using manuals and schematics.
• Orders parts, tools, and equipment following company procurement policies.
• Maintains maintenance schedules and records.
• Handles waste solids removal and processing from treatment processes.
• Performs troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping for wastewater hardware.
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment, following safety procedures and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety techniques.
• Basic understanding of industrial laundry equipment and codes.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Reliable attendance; shift work including weekends and overtime as needed.

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:

Work is performed in a high-volume industrial setting, exposed to weather, heat, cold, dust, and noise. Must be able to move, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs., and work from heights using ladders and lifts.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-4 years of maintenance experience preferred.
