Description

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine maintenance according to a daily preventative maintenance schedule in and around the laundry facility.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Maintains all plant equipment, including high-volume industrial washers and dryers. Repairs and replaces equipment as necessary.
• Performs basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work. Troubleshoots and solves technical issues using manuals and schematics.
• Orders necessary parts, tools, and equipment following company procurement policies.
• Maintains a proper Daily Schedule Control for equipment maintenance and records.
• Conducts daily removal and processing of waste solids from treatment processes.
• Performs troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping for wastewater hardware.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, following safety practices and procedures.
• Uses safety precautions, follows lock-out/tag-out procedures, and adheres to all safety policies.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, schedules, and safety techniques.
• Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and codes.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform training.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Shift work, including weekends; overtime as needed.

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:

• Work in a high-volume production warehouse, exposed to outside weather, extreme temperatures, dust, and noise.
• Ability to move, lift (up to 50 lbs.), bend, reach, and work from heights.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-4 years’ maintenance experience preferred.
