Millwright/Rotating Equipment Specialist - Pasadena, Texas

The Stepan Pasadena Plant is hiring a Millwright/Rotating Equipment Specialist. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the maintenance of plant rotating equipment. Responsibilities include:

• Performing repair, installation, and maintenance of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, mixers, engines, motors, and related machinery.
• Overseeing component changes for rotating equipment, including seals, bearings, couplings, and pump parts.
• Conducting and supervising Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) Maintenance tasks, including alignment checks, oil analysis, and vibration monitoring as part of the condition monitoring program.
• Executing job assignments according to the schedule set by the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
• Recording measurements, data, and recommendations in log sheets and maintenance systems.
• Handling emergency repair activities as needed.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience as a Millwright or Journeyman Millwright.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, feeler gauges, dial indicators, and bolting techniques.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment standards, rigging, welding, and maintenance practices, including installation, troubleshooting, and PM/PdM activities.
• Ability to analyze problems, troubleshoot, and think strategically to resolve equipment issues.
• Familiarity with chemical processing industry equipment is preferred.

Education

• High school diploma or GED.
