Job summary

Nylon Corporation of America (NYCOA) in Manchester, NH seeks a highly motivated Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance Technician to join our team and keep the plant running safely and efficiently. You will repair and maintain machinery, pumps, vessels, and conveyors, following diagrams and manufacturer specs with a focus on preventive maintenance and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right entry-level candidate.
• Able to lift 55 pounds, frequently lift and carry 25 pounds, and work on ladders, staging, and related equipment.
• Must be able to wear proper PPE and a respirator without restriction.
• Able to withstand standing, bending, squatting, walking, and repeated fine motor work.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as engines, motors, pumps, vessels and tanks and their components, and conveyor systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Inspect parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjust functional parts in control instruments using hand tools and measuring devices.
• Repair and replace defective parts and install components in equipment using tools.
• Lubricate, clean, and perform PMs to maintain equipment.
• Assist in electrical repairs with qualified electricians.
