Job summary

SMS group is seeking a mechanically inclined maintenance mechanic to repair and maintain industrial machinery, diagnose malfunctions, disassemble equipment, and fabricate parts as needed. You will test operation with voltmeters and other tools to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment (from the posting).
• Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and fabricate parts (from the posting).
• Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices (from the posting).
• Industrial machinery assembler mechanic repair, install, adjust or maintain industrial production and processing machinery (from the posting).
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear (from the posting).
• Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs (from the posting).
• Record parts or materials used and order to requisition new parts or materials, as necessary (from the posting).
• Record repairs and maintenance performed (from the posting).
• Study blueprints or manufacturers manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery (from the posting).
