Job summary

Mentor Technical Group (MTG) is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial equipment across our life sciences client projects in Puerto Rico and the mainland United States. You will inspect, disassemble, repair, reassemble machinery, read blueprints, and ensure equipment operates to specification.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience, safety awareness, and the ability to work on pumps, motors, conveyors, and lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial Mechanic or technical mechanical field.
• High school diploma plus 3 years mechanical experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze test results and information to diagnose equipment problems.
• Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Repair and maintain operating condition of industrial production machinery.
• Study blueprints and manuals to determine installation and operation.
• Repair and replace broken components of machinery and equipment.
• Observe machines in operation to locate malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs.

Education

Associate degree, Industrial Mechanic / Technical College Mechanical Degree

High school diploma with 3 years of Mechanical experience or equivalent
