Job summary

Charles Ross & Son Company in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a reliable full-time Mechanic/Assembler to build, test, and service industrial mixing equipment. You will read blueprints, assemble components, perform QA checks, and document issues while ensuring quality and safety.

Travel to customer sites as needed, and demonstrate strong math skills, attention to detail, and basic tools. Welding experience is a plus, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and drawings.
• Perform accurate measurements and basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and work instructions to assemble equipment.
• Assemble mechanical components to specifications.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on finished products.
• Identify defects and report issues.
• Repair or adjust components to meet specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks.
• Document production activities accurately.
