Job summary

NOV is seeking a mechanical assembler to support assembly and field service of our equipment. Build equipment to drawings and perform field repairs from memory to keep systems running, communicating issues to customers and supervision.

Most work will occur at our main location on Holmes Road in a controlled environment, with occasional trips to various locations. Automotive or factory maintenance backgrounds flourish here.

Qualifications

• Ability to read exploded-view drawings and blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiar with basic hand tools.
• Strong mechanical reasoning ability.
• Able to read micrometers and calipers; understand ID, OD, depth.
• Welding and cutting torch are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble equipment according to drawings and specifications.
• Provide field support and repairs to keep equipment running.
• Communicate issues clearly to customers and supervision.
• Travel to various locations as needed; main work at Holmes Road facility.

• Ability to read exploded view drawings, and blue prints
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiar with basic hand tools
• Strong mechanical reasoning ability
• Able to read micrometers and calipers; ID, OD, Micrometer, depth
• Basic function of parts press, lathe, mill, porta power, is a plus
• Able to use equipment vibration balancing equipment, is a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Able to weld and use cutting torch is a plus
