Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in the United States to install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment. The role offers a base hourly rate of $32.03 and a 3-2-2 schedule with shift premiums, overtime, and a bonus incentive plan.

The candidate will join a team at the Richmond, IN plant, performing electrical maintenance and ensuring safety and quality standards while maximizing productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with similar equipment
• UAW or AFL/CIO journeyman card or equivalent
• Must be able to read and understand written instructions, policies and procedures
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and operate a calculator
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must be able to read temperature and pressure gauges
• Willingness to learn new technology and equipment operation
• Physically able to perform essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
• Must be respirator ready
• Able to provide professional tools (supplemented by company) in order to perform job duties
• Willingness to improve technical skills through continuing education, on-site training, and other opportunities as provided.

Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $32.03.

Your Day to Day:

As a member of the team, you can expect:

• Pay starting at $32.03/hr. for the Maintenance Mechanic
• Shift premiums + overtime + bonus incentive plan
• Schedule – You will be working a 3-2-2 schedule which means you will be able to enjoy 3-4 days off a week and every other weekend off.

You will work under the general supervision of the shift supervisor, performing all electrical maintenance on equipment to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Richmond, IN plant produces high volumes of quality blowing wool insulation for contractors and retail customers.
