Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to support plant availability and ensure equipment operates safely at the terminal. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot PLC-driven systems, and handle fabrications for minor repairs in a demanding environment.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical maintenance, experience with bearing/motor work, welding, rigging around cranes, and a ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Mill-wright experience related to bearing replacements and motor alignments preferred.
• Familiar with a variety of hand tools.
• Experienced with rigging around cranes and hoists.
• Safety review of assigned work prior to maintenance actions.
• Fabricating and mechanical abilities.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment (forklift, manual shift truck, JLG man-lift, crane truck).
• Work in confined spaces, extreme weather, heights.
• Follow Safe Work Instruction Program to keep the work area safe.
• Understand prints, schematics, manuals for troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to work alone.
• Weld with oxy/acetylene at various angles/thicknesses of steel.
• Cross-train in loaders, dozers, locomotives, cranes.
• Layout work and fabricate for minor repairs or equipment.

**Position Summary**Safely provide mechanical support to optimize plant availability and ensure the Terminal’s equipment is functioning properly, when needed.
