Job summary

McCownGordon Construction, LLC seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial and manufacturing projects in Kansas City, MO and Dallas–Fort Worth. You will manage schedules, coordinate with trade partners, enforce safety, and drive project performance within budget and planned timelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) along with 5+ years’ construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry; proven ability to schedule activities and manage safety on projects.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret contract documents, safety rules and procedures; strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations for medium to large scale projects and mentor project team members.
• Develop and manage project schedules, review trade scopes and assist with permitting and General Conditions/General Requirements.
• Lead safety programs, conduct site safety walkthroughs and enforce corrective actions.
• Manage budget and unit production rates; monitor costs against project budget and communicate variances.
• Lead preconstruction, kickoff meetings with trade partners and ensure project documentation is maintained and up to date.
• Coordinate with logistics, self-perform teams and ensure site cleanliness and branding.
