Job summary

Krones Inc. offers an on-site Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer Intern role in Franklin, WI. You will support process improvements and layout optimization while learning from a team of professionals.

The internship focuses on CAD updates, data analysis in Excel, and Lean projects across our manufacturing facility. Ideal candidates are pursuing an IE degree (sophomore/junior) with strong motivation and communication skills, able to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering degree is required.
  • Sophomore or Junior standing preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Responsibilities

  • Update facility drawings (CAD)
  • Create layout drawings (CAD)
  • Enter data into Excel to create charts
  • 1 or 2 Lean Projects to improve process flow
  • Set up time reduction of CNC machines
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement, 5S, and process layout maintenance
  • Create detailed procedures and work instructions for standardization of Krones' processes

Job Summary:

Industrial/Manufacturing engineer interns will use Industrial Engineering tools to improve processes to maximize production flow without negatively affecting cost. Interns will also create and update layout drawings and assist with layout optimization throughout the facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Update facility drawings (CAD)
  • Create layout drawings (CAD)
  • Enter data into Excel to create charts
  • 1 or 2 Lean Projects to improve process flow
  • Set up time reduction of CNC machines
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement, 5S, process flow, and maintaining accurate manufacturing layouts
  • Create detailed procedures and work instructions for standardization of Krones' processes
Qualifications and Skills:
  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Pursuing Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering degree
  • Sophomore or Junior standing
  • Highly motivated
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Able to work with little managerial direction
  • GPA > 3.0 preferred
