$105,200.00 - $195,400.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

Job Description
As an Industrial Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing and improving existing processes while playing a key role in driving for better productivity and cost effectiveness across manufacturing. You will be identifying and implementing changes to improve employee, facility, and operational performance. While driving changes you will interact with a wide variety of disciplines within the company including design, supply, manufacturing, testing, and FMA/debug.
Responsibilities
• Analyzing manufacturing process flows and driving changes with the goal of maximizing productivity, increasing quality, and reducing cost
• Modeling production touch times, identifying and executing touch time reduction opportunities
• Modeling equipment capacity, determining capital purchase needs based on demand forecast, developing schedules for equipment moves to support product line transfer plans
• Assisting with production floor space planning to optimize equipment layout and manufacturing flow
• Driving initiatives through established change control processes
• Conducting work in a manner that adheres to ISO and TL9000 certifications
Education / Experience
• BS degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent required
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
• SAP ERP experience preferred
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Familiarity with SQL and statistical processing software a plus
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices a plus (Value Stream Map, 5S, Tact Time, 7 Forms of Waste, etc.)
