Job summary

NOV is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Texas to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and combustion systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, operate forklifts and lifts, and maintain safety certifications.

The role requires lifting, climbing, and occasional long hours, with strong troubleshooting skills essential. You will use welding and fabrication tools as needed and ensure compliance with NOV and HSE policies while supporting maintenance logs and work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years maintenance/ mechanical experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for completing work orders and maintenance logs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot faulty equipment and determine repair procedures.
• Perform repairs to mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and combustion equipment.
• Conduct regular PM services on facility equipment as assigned.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts).
• Maintain certifications (LOTO, working at heights) per policy; valid US driver's license required.
• Safely use fabrication tools (Oxygen/Acetylene Torch, Plasma Cutter, Grinders, MIG/Stick welding).
• Work at heights above 50 ft as needed.
• Comply with NOV and HSE policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
