Job summary

Woods Equipment Company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician V to join our team in Oregon. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position offers lead responsibility for major projects, adherence to safety standards, and mentoring of junior technicians while supporting plant facilities and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years journey-level electrical maintenance experience.
  • Completion of a recognized electrical training program.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical, PLC-controlled, CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Lead complex maintenance and installation projects including 480V/3-phase electrical systems, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
  • Drive equipment reliability and safety standards through preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Mentor technicians and coordinate with suppliers; manage parts inventory and support plant facilities as needed.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Hourly Rate: $35/hr - $40/hr

Shift: 1st Shift 630am-3pm; Monday-Friday

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Under minimal supervision, responsibilities include the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of the complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic manufacturing equipment and property. Will be responsible for the maintenance and set-up and repair of selected equipment and property Performs quality craftsmanship to meet company standards.

THE DETAILS

  • Keep critical manufacturing equipment running at peak performance by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, PLC-controlled, CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Lead complex maintenance and installation projects including 480V/3-phase electrical systems, equipment upgrades, facility improvements, welding, fabrication, rigging, and new construction to support operational excellence.
  • Drive equipment reliability and workplace safety through preventive maintenance, inspections, code compliance, crane and material handling equipment repairs, fire protection system support, and adherence to established safety standards.
  • Be a hands-on problem solver and team contributor by managing parts inventory, coordinating with suppliers, mentoring fellow technicians, and supporting plant facilities, grounds, fleet, and other maintenance initiatives as needed.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bring strong industrial electrical expertise with 4+ years of journey-level electrical maintenance experience, completion of a recognized electrical training program, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills across electrical systems while working safely and efficiently in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Thrive in a hands-on role requiring mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to perform physical work throughout the facility, including equipment maintenance and repair activities.
  • Commit to safety, quality, and continuous improvement while maintaining a strong work ethic, collaborating with team members, and delivering reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

AVAILABILITY

  • Monday-Friday
  • 630am-3pm
  • Overtime (when available) at the beginning of the shift (430am or 530am start)
