Job summary

Greif, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Open) to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems at our Georgia facilities. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment, read blueprints, and support upgrades and continuous improvement projects.

OSHA 10 training may be required upon hire. Overtime and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company safety procedures.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification preferred, or the ability to successfully complete OSHA training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify root causes to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, test, and adjust machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Support equipment upgrades, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, and preventive maintenance documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with new equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
