Pitney Bowes is hiring an Onsite Maintenance Technician Trainee for our Indianapolis, IN facility. This direct-hire, full-time role operates 2nd shift (2pm – 10:30pm, Mon-Fri) with a base rate of $26/hr plus $1/hr shift differential.

Responsibilities include mechanical/electronic repairs and preventative maintenance of printing/mail equipment. The ideal candidate has at least one year of break/fix mechanical experience, is comfortable with Windows PCs, and demonstrates strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electronic equipment.
• One year of related break/fix experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair mechanical and electronic equipment, including printer and mail sorters.
• Perform preventative maintenance per quality standards.
• Respond to breakdowns with urgency and accuracy.
• Manage inventory, PM schedules, and parts.
• Diagnose and repair equipment problems in a timely manner.
• Carry out additional duties as required.

You will:

• Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.

• Complete preventative maintenance according to Mail Preparation Total Quality Management and vendor operating standards.

• Respond to equipment break down or emergency situations with urgency and expediency.

• Utilize inventory, pmscheduleand work order systems, andmaintainsthe spare parts/supply inventory.

• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairsin a timely manner.

• Perform alladditionalduties asrequired

As an Onsite Maintenance TechnicianTrainee, you have:

• Experiencetrouble-shootingand repairing complex mechanical equipment with at least one year of break/fix mechanical experience preferred.

• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred.

• Excellentproblem solvingskills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems,establishpriorities, and work under deadline pressures.

• The ability tolift upto 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or withoutaccommodations.
