Job summary

Pitney Bowes Presort Services in Indianapolis, IN is hiring an Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician II to keep mail sorting equipment up and running. The role is full-time, onsite, with first shift Friday to Monday, 6:30am–4:30pm, at $26/hour.

You will troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electronic equipment, read schematics, and use meters and test gear; maintain PM schedules, respond to breakdowns, and help manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment including mailing equipment/sortation, conveyance, PLC systems, or similar electro-mechanical production equipment.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to automated equipment operation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to read schematics and establish priorities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, install, and repair complex mechanical and electronic industrial equipment including conveyor systems and sortation machines.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergency situations and minimize downtime.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedules, and work order systems to improve uptime.
• Assist in maintaining spare parts and supply inventory.
• Read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery.
