Job summary

Lake Air Products in Roseville, MN is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to oversee preventive maintenance on CNC machines, turret punch, brake press, welding equipment, and facilities. The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing PM experience, strong knowledge of pneumatics, PLCs, and electronics, and the ability to work independently and with the production team on continuous improvement.

• 10+ years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Pneumatics, PLC, Electronics.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
• Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs PM’s on all Lake Air plants per schedule and tracks results.
• Maintain facilities and grounds and manage contract services and repairs.
• Provide technical support by training and troubleshooting to manufacturing staff.
• Interpret manuals, specifications, blueprints, and schematics for equipment.
• Collaborate with Production for Continuous Improvement programs.
• Stay current on OSHA, Arc Flash, and LO/TO procedures and updates.
• Train on proper equipment maintenance and repair.
• Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Make recommendations on the use of machinery and equipment.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs and improvements.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints and standards.

Position Summary

We are looking for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to join our Roseville, MNLocation. The right maintenance tech will have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance on manufacturing machines (CNC machines, turret punch, brake press, welding equipment, electrical, and facilities). If you have a proven background in successful PM within a sheet metal or stamping manufacturing environment, this might be a great role for you!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs all PM’s based on a scheduled event for all Lake Air plants, and tracks results.
• Maintain facilities and grounds as well as manage associated contract services and repairs.
• Provide technical support by training and troubleshooting to all manufacturing employees.
• Interpret operational manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints, and schematics for manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
• Works together with the Production departments for Continuous Improvement programs.
• Remains current on all OSHA, Arc Flash, and LO/TO procedures and updates as required
• Trains on proper equipment maintenance and repair.
• Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Make recommendations on the use of machinery and equipment.
• Works with outside vendors in painting and performing structural repairs to buildings, equipment, masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.

• Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs
• 10+ years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to network and/or research issues to quickly diagnose repair issues
