Job summary

York County Government is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician for the Solid Waste Collection & Recycling Division. The role focuses on inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain systems such as hydraulics and conveyors.

The position requires an Associate degree or vocational training with 4 years of maintenance experience, and a valid CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or specialized vocational training required.
• Four years of experience in maintenance and repair of equipment, including hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair division equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Operate and maintain automated equipment such as conveyors, balers, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct general building and grounds maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain maintenance records using an electronic work order system.
