Job summary

Monarch Steel Company of Alabama, Inc. is hiring for a full-time Maintenance Technician to support installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment and the plant. The role requires welding, cutting, and mechanical skills within a safety-conscious environment.

The position emphasizes following Safety Policy and OSHA standards, working within a 1 T.E.A.M. culture, and contributing to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate preferred.
• Experience in welding and cutting is required.
• Forklift/crane certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions in English.
• Basic math skills for rates, ratios and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M. culture.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and the plant.
• Wear all proper protective equipment per Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a safe and healthful work environment and good housekeeping.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and the plant.
• Install new equipment and systems.
• Start and complete Work Request forms in the manufacturing data system.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
