Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment at the Lima, Ohio facility. The role requires reading mechanical drawings, using manuals for repairs, and coordinating with outside contractors for line upgrades and changeovers.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with mechanical systems, and a solid understanding of GMP and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas.
• Experience with mechanical systems such as gear boxes, chains, motors, seals and bearings.
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings and applying knowledge to repairs.
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns and pinpointing fixes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Repair production equipment as needed.
• Perform breakdown analysis and document work.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safety standards (GMP).
• Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology and coordinate with contractors.
• Change line for package changeovers and ensure proper line readiness.
• Work independently under limited supervision.
