Job summary

The Building Center, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance/Service Technician in Pineville, NC to service production equipment, perform facility maintenance, and address basic fleet vehicle issues.

The role focuses on preventative maintenance and timely repairs to minimize downtime across production lines. Qualifications include hands-on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems knowledge, experience with industrial equipment, and a NC/SC Class C driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Preventative maintenance execution.
• Industrial/Commercial machinery experience.
• Electrical diagnostics and repair, incl. diagrams.
• Experience with single phase and 3 phase systems.
• AC/DC voltage, 12V–480V; pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Mechanical devices: gearboxes, clutches, bearings, belts, pulleys.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, Moffett, etc.
• NC/SC Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventative maintenance of production machinery (electrical diagnostics, mechanical repairs, wiring, PMs).
• New equipment installation.
• Facilities maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, building systems inspection/repair).
• Fleet vehicle support (minor repairs, vehicle prep, delivery to NC/SC).
• Install, troubleshoot, and upkeep GPS/ELDs/cameras for fleet vehicles.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly and annual PMs.
• Support IT by running and terminating data cables.
• Support special projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
