Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to execute controlled process steps for assembling or filling customer products and capsules. You will analyze job orders, routing cards, drawings and instructions to determine production sequence and requirements.

The role requires the ability to operate multiple machine shop tools, maintain shop inventory, and uphold safety and quality standards in a heavy industrial environment. Overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years experience in electrics and controls/PLCs/VFDs/sensors.
• Experience in a machine shop and basic math skills.
• Specialized knowledge of drill presses, power saws, grinders and lathes.
• Overtime or weekend work may be required.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• English reading/writing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, lathes and shop tools.
• Maintains department equipment, supplies and inventories.
• Communicates priorities with management daily.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Estimates material and labor; recommends supplies to order.
• Follows procedures, PPE and SHE rules.
• Supports colleagues and visitors to ensure a safe workplace.
• Adapts to shifts/overtime as required.
