Job summary

Kymera International in Detroit seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to conduct inspections, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and support manufacturing operations.

You will install, assemble, and repair mechanical systems, read blueprints, follow safety standards, and contribute to facilities upkeep. Strong problem-solving and teamwork required; journeyman card or equivalent experience is preferred, with welding and crane familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to assemble/disassemble machinery and conveyors.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine inspections of machinery and equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance to keep equipment running optimally.
• Troubleshoots to determine necessary repairs.
• Proving mechanical support to manufacturing operations to locate and diagnose trouble.
• Install, assemble, dismantle machinery, conveyors, gear boxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Correct deficiencies by removing, repairing, overhauling, and replacing major assemblies.
• Assist with electrical and plumbing maintenance.
• Inspect buildings and structures to detect malfunctions and repair needs.
• Assist with upkeep of facilities and general repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations.
