Job summary

Minth Tawas Manufacturing in East Tawas, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure smooth operation of facilities and equipment. The role performs routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and carpentry, focusing on safety and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting, repairs and overhauls, installation of tools and equipment, and accurate documentation using computerized tracking

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or an associate degree in industrial maintenance preferred.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience with industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of electrical control panels, PLCs, machine vision, motors, and fluid power systems; familiarity with Fanuc, Kuka, ABB robots is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance: clean, lubricate, inspect equipment to prevent downtime.
• Diagnostics & troubleshooting: use manuals, multimeters, and diagnostic software to locate root causes.
• Repairs & overhauls: dismantle malfunctioning machinery, replace parts, and calibrate to specifications.
• Installation: set up and test new tools, conveyor systems, or production equipment on the floor.
• Documentation: log repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules; Excel experience is a plus.
