Airgas USA, LLC in Minooka, IL is hiring a Maintenance Technician to care for and repair plant equipment. You will support preventative maintenance on production assets, read schematics, and work with the team to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in industrial maintenance or similar role.
• Proficiency troubleshooting mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative maintenance on production equipment (motors, pumps, compressors, valves, electrical systems).
• Investigate and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on industrial machinery.
• Restore and update defective parts, components, and systems.
• Use tools and measuring instruments to maintain system health.
• Read blueprints and schematics to support maintenance work.
• Install and commission new equipment with team support.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS to support knowledge sharing.
• Promote safety and environmental standards in daily work.
• Participate in on-call coverage and emergency response as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
