Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold and improve the reliability of our production machinery and warehouse facilities in Pennsylvania.

You will perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime. The role requires reading electrical/mechanical schematics, using hand tools and forklifts, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to learn multiple maintenance areas ( hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, PLCs, electrical).
• Experience in heavy industrial settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and improve machinery, equipment and warehouse facilities.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs during production.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Document tasks and communicate issues to supervision.
